GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates continuous Joint Commission survey readiness program and other related accreditation and regulatory activities including, but not limited to, leading policy development, learning, interpreting, and communicating new regulations, representing the hospital system in a variety of organizations, leading workgroups and coordinating the work of others, organizing and analyzing information to assess compliance gaps, and continuously interacting with senior management, staff and physicians throughout the hospital system in a strong and influential capacity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field (BS, BA, BSN), licensed in the state of Michigan. Must have a minimum of three years of related hospital experience to include knowledge of medical practice, procedures and protocols and the ability to assimilate and interpret medical/hospital information. Qualified candidates must also possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Must have experience in the expectations of regulatory and accreditation agencies such as The  Joint Commission, CMS, Dept. of Public Health and other external review agencies.
